Courtney is a Knitwear and Costume Designer focusing on creating fantastical and dream-like aesthetics through her creations. Exploring how we can bring historical designs and inspirations into the contemporary, merging them with the worlds of kink and camp. Courtney is inspired by Drag, the risqué Georgians and empowerment through fashion.

REBIRTH
REBIRTH was my Final Major Project at Norwich University of the Arts while studying Textile Design. This project grew from my inspiration of the impressive and fantastical drag scene in Norwich as well as French Baroque in the late 1700's when Marie Antoinette ruled.
Rebirth explores femininity and the different faces of womanhood. Part One of Rebirth explores kink and sex in the eyes of a woman, the scene takes place in a Boudoir where two lesbian lovers (Clementine and and Alexandra) meet in secret and confess their lust through the imagery.
Part Two explores feminine rage, physical and emotional repression of women. My muse was Joan of Arc when exploring Part Two.
